Telstra | Fabric of society
Telstra and TRO joined forces to promote technology connecting society through an interactive display featuring animated ‘fabric’ characters. Positioned in Telstra’s Sydney flagship store were several plinths with beanbags resting atop them; when viewers touched the fabric ‘beanbags’, a random animation featuring one of the characters would trigger on huge vertical screens.
Custom animations were also created to run across window panels on the exterior, depicting the characters ‘connecting’ and interacting.
To accompany the digital content, a colourful window display piece featuring a large number of unique, handmade fabric characters were created and placed as if navigating the globe, each connected by interwoven threads. The installation was popular among visitors, with:
- 489 interactions per day
- 14193 total interactions over the course of the installation.
My responsibilities included creative direction, art direction, copy writing, motion graphics/video editing and post processing.
