TELSTRA | SUMMER OF WI-FI
To promote Telstra's 'Summer of WiFi’ campaign in major Telstra Retail stores, TRO shipped in a tonne of sand and created a real-life beach scene, complete with sand sculpting and brand ambassadors getting ‘beachy’ - all live in the windows.
In store, users could use a touchscreen to create a digital postcard (writing in sand, sunscreen, skywriting, or creating custom latte art) then send the postcard to a friend.
TRO utilised the 7m high LED screens to showcase a typical australian beach scene. A WiFi symbol animated to form out of clouds, and brand messages written in the sand washed on and off with the tide. The installation was updated to a romantic sunset scene for 3 days to celebrate Valentine's day.
My responsibilities included creative | art direction, 2D asset creation, motion graphics, video editing, 2D | 3D visualisation and concepting.
